YOUR TRAINER
David Bradford is a former QUT Lecturer, Director of Training and Specialist Support Branch of Child Safety, Director of Operational Training in the Department of Communities and Training and Director for Queensland Health.
David will be responsible for scheduling and negotiating training dates and delivery suitable to your workplace and/or personal situation.
DELIVERY
TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275) through delivery and assessment by The DaV’ange Group Pty Ltd (ABN 45 162 289 143) offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), multi-modal training and face-to-face workshops in workplaces, as well as self-directed gap training. For experienced workers and volunteers, Recognition of Prior Learning may contribute to a large component of your qualification. Evidence of your skills and knowledge will be assessed by a qualified assessor.
Detailed training and assessment information will be provided to you by The DaV’ange Group during induction and workshop sessions. Any delivery, assessment or program enquiries should be directed to The DaV’ange Group.
DURATION
The duration of this qualification will depend on mode of study. Typically one duration is 3-6 months to complete via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and between 3-12 months if you require gap training. A vocational placement of no less than 120 hours and no more than 200 hours is required to complete this qualification.
ISSUING OF QUALIFICATION
On successful completion of all units within this qualification, TAFE Queensland will issue the award.

The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete 16 units in total, 10 core units, 2 units from the Residential and out of home care specialisation, and 4 addition electives.
Please discuss relevant units of competency from previous formal training as it may be used as credit towards this qualification with your trainer.
